46 questions

Last Friday we taped 46 programs. It may sound like a lot, but the name of the program puts it in perspective: “59 seconds” They are short (but not always exaclty 59 seconds) answers to common questions people ask about God, salvation, and the Bible.

Recently a local pastor approached us about helping with a project. His church was starting a new work in a difficult area of the city and wanted a DVD to hand out. They tried to tape these segments on their own, but the audio and lighting were really bad, so they decided to call in the professionals (that’s us, in case you wondered). It so happens that we have a set already built and lit in our studio for an Arabic program, so we were able to easily accommodate them. With the use of a TelePrompTer, three cameras and a switcher were able to do in a day what would have taken them weeks.

We aren’t a studio for hire, but since this project was something that would help accomplish our purposes as well, we are able to partner with this church. We will make these segments available to other churches and ministries for use in TV programs and to embed in web pages. Without a lot of preparation on our part we are able to produce a useful series. That is the benefit of partnering.

David Rivero, the pastor asked if we could do another series of 12 programs with them. These will be somewhat more in depth about Jesus, salvation, the resurrection, and man’s response. We will be taping this in late September or early October.
