Gospel Choir at Christmas time
19/12/06 13:39

Dear praying friends
It's almost over. By tonight our church gospel choir will have performed nine times. We've been to large department stores, a nursing home, a school, a city-sponsored Christmas festival, as well as our outreach concerts. At the concert this past weekend several people said they needed Jesus in their lives. We are praying that the seeds sown will result in eternal life.
I am continuing to work on the video testimonies we recorded earlier. I am always moved when I hear how God worked in these lives - even after hearing it 50 times. We will be taping the dramatizations of one story soon, and finding the clips I need from another interview. I am always afraid I won't do the story justice, and need prayer for that. Some colleagues have given out some DVDs of the first four testimonies to people in our community. Pray that these will bear spiritual fruit.
We're starting to plan for our next project - a basic discipleship course for youth. When I asked Patry, who works with adolescents under Campus Crusade, for her input on this project, she wrote back that it was something she felt was really lacking here in Span, and something she has long wished was available, and of course, she would love to help out. In February we will be getting a group of youth workers to discuss what we need to get across, and how best to do it. Pray for the leading of the Holy Spirit, wisdom, and creativity.
Our family is doing very well. Lucy just turned 1 year old, Jack is really enjoying second grade, and both of them are looking forward to another baby arriving sometime in May. We just saw the doctor today and saw the heartbeat. Robyn is doing well.
Have a very special Christmas time. Thanks for holding us up in your prayers.
In Christ,
Rolly and Robyn Walter
